    AUG / UUA / GUA / CAC / GGC / UAA / AAC / AUU / GUA / CUC / GCC / GGU / CCG / AGG / UAG

    AUG - Start

    UUA - Because
    GUA - You
    CAC - Think
    GGC - Like
    UAA - An
    AAC - Anthropology
    AUU - Students
    GUA - You
    CUC - Are
    GCC - Good
    CUC - Are
    GGU - At
    CCG - Study
    AGG - Proteins

    UAG - End

Because you think like Anthropology students, you are good [are] at study(ing) proteins.

I think you may have added the extra CUC codon (the one in brackets), but besides that, everything else makes sense!

  2. I'm not really sure where you see the extra CUC codon because I reworked it out with the DNA strand that I posted and I didn't have an extra "are." I even looked over your own work and the only time the CUC is doubled is when you're typing the words out. You must have just slid the letters over after staring at them for so long. I know it's possible. Thanks for solving it though!

  3. Oops, you're absolutely right! My mistake! Yours was tough to solve but I enjoyed it, thank you!

  4. Just goes to show that mutations can happen during the translation and transcription process as well! Otherwise, good code and good decode.

Here is my decode for reference:

    DNA: ATTGTACAATCATGTGCCGATTTTGTAACATGAGCGGCCAGGCTCCATCGCTG
    RNA: UAACAUGUUAGUACACGGCUAAAACAUUGUACUCGCCGGUCCGAGGUAGCGAC
Codons: AUG UUA GUA CAC GGC UAA AAC AUU GUA CUC GCC GGU CCG AGG UAG
(start) Because you think like an anthropology student, you are good at study(ing) proteins. (stop)
